Since 2014, Russell has been a valued member of the SSG team. Having cultivated meaningful relationships across both the executive and legislative branches of state government, Russell also brings a broad range of experience with both healthcare policy and legislative procedures. Extensive work with various state departments and regulatory bodies means Russell possesses an in-depth, applied understanding of both their processes and procedures.

Through his work at the firm, Russell has developed a political acumen applicable, as well as crucial, to a comprehensive governmental relations team. He is adept at drafting legislation, lobbying, managing trade associations and coordinating Political Action Committee efforts on behalf of multiple clients.

Born in Franklin, Louisiana, Russell attended Louisiana State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in business and a minor in communications.
